The soccer matches in that period used to begin with both teams aligned in parallel lines facing each other. They used to kick the ball through each other team’s line and after that they aim at the goal, but before it, they attempt to the kick the ball. William Strachey of Jamestown settlement, Virginia recorded a game played by the related Americans known as Pahsaheman in 1610.
